Our Story

Hyde Park Painting & Carpentry (HPPC) was founded in 1977 by brothers, Stephen and Michael Tombragel.

This family-run business is a ONE-STOP shop for all home repair needs. Customers are delighted to call one number 513-321-4100 for all home repair needs: Roofing, Remodeling, Concrete, Electrical, Plumbing, Drywall, Carpentry and Interior/Exterior Painting. HPPC schedules all facets of the job, from start to finish, thus simplifying your life!

More than thirty years later, Hyde Park Painting & Carpentry takes great pride in offering you better service and quality than you expect! They love solving problems on your home.

Hyde Park Painting and Carpentry cares about the environment and we try to do our part by recycling as much of our products as possible and properly disposing of paints, chemicals and solvents. We use eco-friendly or “Green” products for most of our work.

Please, don’t be fooled by others. Some of our competitors give our industry a bad name with irresponsible practices. Industry publications have shown that many contractors don’t carry the proper Workers Compensation Insurance or Business Liability Insurance.

HPPC carries Workers’ Compensation Insurance and full Liability Insurance.
HPPC is licensed by the City of Cincinnati as a registered building construction contractor.

Hyde Park Painting & Carpentry has a powerful competitive advantage; we have built an environment where people really want to work. HPPC is not a revolving door of personnel. Our employees stay for many years. Because of this we attract the finest professionals in the business. You won’t find temporary laborers or students working on your home. You’ll have experienced, mature, career professionals working on your biggest investment – your home.

By using the best in materials (lumber, roofing products and paints), our jobs last longer and look better. No watered-down cheap paints or materials will be used on your job!

All estimates are based on labor and materials. Labor costs are generally larger than the cost of materials. Because material costs are a small portion of the total job, it makes perfect sense to use the best in all materials.

On a personal note, we are passionate about nature and the environment. We make a concerted effort to recycle any and all materials possible; even down to our office paper. We believe that each one of us makes a difference and give back what you take.

We proudly support The Humane Society of the United States, World Wildlife Fund, and The Nature Conservancy. Locally, we support many organizations such as the Multiple Sclerosis, Leukemia Society, Keep Cincinnati Beautiful (KCB) as well as Save The Animals Foundation (STAF) and Ohio Alleycat Resource (OAR).

Please spay and neuter your pets. And remember, you do make a difference.
